About Us
Michael was formerly a partner of large law firms, most recently K&L Gates and HWL Ebsworth.
He brings to 42.2 Law over 35 years' experience representing and advising leading companies in Australia's transport and logistics sectors. For the past 4 years he has been voted as one of Australia's best commercial transport lawyers in definitive polls.
Michael has also represented high net worth private clients and families over many years in their personal and commercial affairs.
He holds Arts (Political Science) and Law degrees (both with Honours) from the University of Sydney and a Master of Laws degree from Columbia University. He also holds a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia.
Michael is an accomplished and award winning presenter and lecturer. He is also knowledgeable about stock markets and investment theory. He is an active (long only) investor.
In his spare time, Michael is a keen marathon runner and has completed over 50 marathons around the world. The marathon distance is 42.2km, or 26.2 miles, which is the inspiration for the firm's name.
